They implement wellness strategies by amassing knowledge and discussing health issues with members of particular populations. Although the 2 occupations often work collectively, the responsibilities of health education specialists and neighborhood health employees are distinct.

Community health is focused on promoting, protecting and improving the health of people, communities, and organizations. You will learn to positively influence the health behavior of individuals, groups, and communities while addressing way of life factors (i.e., diet, physical activity, sexual behavior and drug use) and living circumstances that influence health. CORE offers CHES/MCHES credits to SOPHE members and professionals in health promotion and education. This 5-module leadership course prepares mid-career professionals to steer health education into the next period via effective management.
